Focused, task-oriented daily team meetings are a key mechanism for communication and service planning within Assertive Community Treatment (ACT). The approximate one-hour daily team meeting allows ACT staff to briefly discuss service recipients’ status over the past 24 hours, problem-solve and address current or prevent future crises, and schedule planned treatment and rehabilitation contacts. It is at this meeting where the team flexes service delivery, i.e., right-sizing service to what people are needing in the moment.
The daily team meeting organizational tools central to ACT functioning include a Client Log, where relevant client clinical data is succinctly documented for each client across time; the Client Weekly or Monthly Schedule, and Central Calendar; and the Daily Team Schedule.
The daily team meeting is a staff priority each day. Regular, consistent in-person attendance by all staff ensures optimal information-sharing and service continuity.
