Description | Developed in New York on the framework of IMR Workbook provides 57 lessons grouped into three large “chapters” Chapters broken into Topics, Topics broken into Lessons • Chapter One: Recovery (Six Topics, 20 Lessons) • Chapter Two: Mental Health Wellness and Relapse Prevention (Four Topics, 25 Lessons) • Chapter Three: Living a Healthy Lifestyle and Mental Health Recovery (Five Topics, 9 Lessons) • WSM Wrap-Up (Two Topics, Three Lessons) Final Appendix is Quality of Life Progress Checklist • Lists areas to choose from, then simple progress indicator for midpoint and end of course, does not include space for feedback/further evaluation, so modification may be worthwhile PLUS curriculum includes significantly more material on substance use/addiction/harm reduction, in addition to many of the elements of the original curriculum Lesson focus more specific and concrete than the suggested session breakdown in IMR, with many of the topics being very similar Workbook and facilitation resources are available for free as PDFs Includes Facilitation Quick Reference that lays out structure for groups May be good resource/starting point for staff less familiar with group facilitation or the IMR curriculum in general, very structured and accessible |
